Empower & Elevate Workshop – 15 May 2025
Yesterday, we hosted our first PSCB Workshop in Strathpine.
We started the Workshop with Ruby speaking about Disability Rights, especially the right to work and fair opportunities and treatment.
Then we welcomed a wonderful guest speaker – Mr. Kevin Green – Regional Manager at EPIC Assist. They spoke about Disability Employment and how places like EPIC can help people with disabilities on their employment paths. You can press the button below to go to the EPIC assist website.
Lastly, we had a mom share her personal experiences as a mother of a child with Autism. She spoke about the services she received, and the research that went into helping provide the best support for her child. Trying to find this information can be daunting for other parents in similar positions, and having someone to explain what happens and potential ways to get support, was a lovely way to share these important experiences.

Why are Workshops important?
Workshops help the community connect in-person. Asking questions online can be confusing. With 100’s of result with different information, it can be confusing for anyone.
Our workshops are delivered in various languages, in various locations around the Greater Brisbane Area. This is so that EVERYONE can get easier access to the information they need or want.
